When your bar mitzvah gets postponed for a couple of times because of covid….your family celebrates to the upmost when they can. And right before Omnicron hit…it felt like all was possible.
When a family decides to move from their beloved Brooklyn home to another city, its so special when they decide to say good-bye by having a farewell family photography session. That’s what this gorgeous family did recently right before they headed west. When you leave…you realize that NYC never leaves you. Its a city that touches your heart deeply. Once a New Yorker always a New Yorker.
If you can’t readily be inside to celebrate a Jewish milestone, as Tim Gunn (of Project Runway fame) famously says “Make It Work”. I love that this family pivoted their bat mitzvah plans and celebrated in a low key but super fun way at a local park….Brooklyn Bridge Park. It was a beautiful day with a gorgeous backdrop. And the most happy bat mitzvah girl celebrating her enormous achievement with dear friends and family. To me, it was perfection.
This woman is FABULOUS both inside and out. 35 years of friendship and decades of memories to make in our future.
It was such a joy to photograph her during her recent visit. She radiants here.
This is 45 at its finest!

When this family decided to relocate back to Europe, they wanted to commemorate their special time in Brooklyn with a memorable family photo session. These portraits capture the neighborhood they grew to love, the memories they created and the unique time in their lives. What a wonderful visual memory to have forever and look at fondly.
When you are a single parent, you are rarely photographed with your children. You are absent from your family and children’s own visual history. That’s why it is so important to hire a professional photographer. I, too, have an annual photo session with my children. It is such a gift to have beautiful portraits of my children and I. I cherish all my family portraits and so will you.
When you are a family photographer, its wonderful to grow alongside your clients. When I first started to photograph this family, the youngest son was a newborn. Now, 7 years later - this family is high energy and is willing to try anything. One of my super fun families that I am lucky to photograph!
