I love photographing a fun bat mitzvah! And this one was epic. I always like to, first, photograph a private session of the with the 13 year old away from all the craziness of the special day. This sweet session allows us to get to know each other and it allows me to capture special portraits that the family can use in a curated slideshow and for the parents to remember this memorable age. Then comes the service - a milestone endeavor to achieve. Next comes the celebration…a time to party with loved ones - family and friends. It’s an emotional ride and I’m there for it all. And with this family….its always super lively, fun-filled and full of love.
When Elisa Pupko hired me to photograph the Grand Opening of her newest Treasure Trunk Theatre location (Park Slope)...I was thrilled! A morning with kids having fun, dancing, creating and laughing...that's my type of morning!!!
Perfect for kids under 10, Treasure Trunk Theatre's mission is for children to explore drama through imagination. In their classes, kids have fun with movement, music, theatre games and visual arts. My photos really capture all the fun Treasure Trunk Theatre creates for the kids!
With the engaging photographs, Elisa + her team are able to use the images to promote her business and its new activities on its Treasure Trunk Theatre website, its instagram page and on any marketing/promotional material.
It's essential to have timeless imagery at the ready for any business need.
If you can’t readily be inside to celebrate a Jewish milestone, as Tim Gunn (of Project Runway fame) famously says “Make It Work”. I love that this family pivoted their bat mitzvah plans and celebrated in a low key but super fun way at a local park….Brooklyn Bridge Park. It was a beautiful day with a gorgeous backdrop. And the most happy bat mitzvah girl celebrating her enormous achievement with dear friends and family. To me, it was perfection.
A night to remember. A fundraiser where money was raised for Marquis Studios - a non-profit organization that provides arts education services to more than 170 New York City public schools. Their goal is to develop a passion for creative learning in each and every child allowing students to reach their full potential. Visit http://marquisstudios.org/ to get to learn about their mission and to donate to their amazing cause.
This past Saturday night, a fundraiser was held that raised over $45,000 for The Trevor Project - the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ + youth. An amazing group of proactive Brooklyn women organized this fundraiser as one of many efforts that have been a direct response to the November election. We learned that since the election, there has been a significant increase in suicide thoughts and attempts with LGBTQ teens. The Trevor Project fiercely helps protect and save lives. Thank you all who came and donated in person and from afar. It was an honor to photograph this fantastic #drinkdancedogood event for The Trevor Project!
