Prior to relocating abroad, it was important for this mom and dad to celebrate their 8 month old daughter, their first family home and their beloved neighborhood through photography. Now they will always have these memorable portraits of their early beginnings as a young and growing family. These are moments to cherish forever. Special indeed!
I loved photographing Fernanda Vázquez from Brooklyn’s House of Colour.
Fernanda is a color maven and you can see from her new branding photos that her wardrobe absolutely pops with color. With the colors that perfectly compliments her, Fernanda sets herself apart from all the NYC women who wear black day after day.
Fernanda is a walking advertisement for her business and services; her services range from color analysis, style analysis, wardrobe edits, personal shopping, makeup for your season and much more. Fernanda expertly determines her clients’ best colors that both compliment and elevate who they are. It truly makes her clients look vibrant and feel great. And that’s an emotion that her clients can confidently take into their next business meeting, out with friends, going out on a romantic date and even doing everyday errands. When you feel your best, you easily elevate who you are.
Her new branding photos perfectly represent what Fernanda does professionally and, now, she can easily promote her services to her targeted audience on social media and through her other marketing channels.
If you find yourself in a continuous fashion rut, you MUST reach out to Fernanda at House of Colour. You absolutely won’t regret it!
A graduation is such a major accomplishment. And having graduation portraits is a lovely way to record this momentous event and to celebrate! That’s what this accomplished law school graduate gifted to herself….visual memories that she can look back on forever with such pride. I can’t wait to see her blossom in her future law career and life. The best is yet to come for her!
I love when families come to NYC and want to celebrate their visit in a special way. That’s what this North Carolina family did recently. Way back when, these parents lived here for a number of years when they started out in their careers. Years later as they raised their kids in the South, they passed on their love for the Big Apple to their children. Now, with their graduating Senior…New York City was calling them back. It was the only destination they envisioned for their son - for his special Senior Portraits. We certainly hit it out of the park - these senior and family portraits are EPIC. And I am so honored that I was the one to record all the love and happiness.
In most parts of the country, seniors celebrate this graduation milestone by having their Senior Portraits taken. It is a tradition year after year with each passing graduating class. Its a perfect way to memorialize this transition from high school teenager into young adult.
More than ever, it is important because in such an isolating year dominated by all things Covid, Senior Portraits are the best way to document a graduating senior’s journey so far and to celebrate it. It is the best time of their life to capture their youthful innocence and their unique personality. This portrait session also gives the senior dedicated time to feel special while the photo experience and portraits will increase their self-esteem and confidence.
The senior and their family will be able to look back on these important portraits with pride as they see visual evidence of how significant they were at this pivotal moment in their lives.
I love capturing driven and impactful women especially ones who level up other women professionally, financially and personally. While I empower women to feel confident in themselves visually, cofounders Erin Keating (podcaster of Hotter Than Ever podcast and former television executive) and Sarah Gallagher Trombley (former Snapchat executive) are empowering women through their new company Broad Collective, a membership network for professional women pivoting to self-employment in midlife.
Broad Collective’s mission is to support members in starting and scaling businesses that require strategic content creation to promote their expertise, build audiences and grow revenue. Broad Collective is designed to be both inspiring and practical, focused on strategy, support, techniques and tools to support women’s entrepreneurship ventures. Plus, it is a dynamic forum where driven women can connect, can support and can grow their network together.
If you are a woman in midlife contemplating the existential reality of your career - or if you already work for yourself - lean on Broad Collective to get you and your business to grow.
Visit broadcollective.com to learn more and apply to become a member.
If you know someone who might be interested, please spread the word!
And, of course, subscribe to Broad Collective's Substack, follow them on LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok (and all the other places) where Broad Collective will be dropping knowledge and inspiration on a regular basis.
Congratulations are in order for Erin and Sarah! They are doing such inspirational work with Broad Collective! And, in my opinion, their branding photos look beyond fabulous. The images are full of personality and provide a visual connection to who they are individually and as cofounders.

When high school seniors are applying to College Acting programs, professional acting headshots are essential. This Senior is obsessing over her new acting headshots and her parents are in awe on how fast she has grown up and the next stages in front of them. So many milestones to celebrate and I’m happy to be a part of their journey.
