I've been friends with this fun and funny family for 4 years now....once they moved in the apartment down the hall from me. We have done so many things together...playdates, sledding, dinners and even an ongoing bookclub. But this time together was the first time I captured them for an official family photography. Central Queens Academy is a remarkable school that celebrates their diverse and varied scholars, staff and families who live near Elmhurst, Queens, the nation’s most diverse zip code. CQA fosters connections for their young people to feel empowered to make positive changes in their community while also helping each other learn and succeed in school. Last week, I was honored to photograph their largest annual fundraising event so that this amazing school can continue to change the lives of 400 hardworking and committed young scholars.
